Named after Maryam
Built in 2004 by the local Muslim community, largely through volunteered labour and donations, our mosque has grown from a small, close-knit place of worship into a centre of faith, learning and community for one of Melbourne's fastest-growing areas.
Maryam, mother of Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon them, is the only woman named in the Qur'an. Her devotion is an example for all people.
