About us

Named after Maryam

Built in 2004 by the local Muslim community, largely through volunteered labour and donations, our mosque has grown from a small, close-knit place of worship into a centre of faith, learning and community for one of Melbourne's fastest-growing areas.

Maryam, mother of Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon them, is the only woman named in the Qur'an. Her devotion is an example for all people.

Ask us anything
Can non-Muslims visit the mosque?

Yes, and we would love to welcome you. Visit at any time outside of prayer, or contact us to arrange a guided tour for a school, community or interfaith group.

Where should I park for Jumu'ah?

On-site parking fills quickly on Fridays. Please park legally, follow the volunteers, and leave promptly after your session so the next congregation can use the car park. Public transport is a great option.

Is there a prayer space for women?

Yes. Sisters have a separate prayer area with its own wudu area and restroom.

How do I enrol my child in Saturday school?

Places are limited. Please contact us or speak with the sheikh after prayer to join the waiting list.

How are the prayer times calculated?

Athan times are calculated live for Hoppers Crossing with the same settings as the mosque's prayer screen (Fajr 17.5°, Isha 15°). Iqamah times are set by the mosque and change with the seasons.

Can I arrange a nikah or get janazah support?

Please contact the mosque office to discuss nikah, janazah and other services.
